Maintenance
It is crucial that all paint or powder coated material has regular
maintenance, in order to retain the aesthetic qualities and the
long-term durability of the system.
Regular cleaning of paint or powder coating
on components where the appearance has
become unsightly, or when deposits of atmospheric pollution or
other matter is
apparent, is important.
The coating should be washed with water and
dried with a soft absorbent cloth.
Harsh scrubbing or the use of abrasive solvent cleaners, which
will damage the
finish, should be avoided.
Inspection and repair of mechanical damage
or breakdown of the paint or
powder coating can be identified and early remedial action taken
to prevent long-term problems.
The frequency of the cleaning depends in
part on the standard of appearance that is required and upon the
environment in which the paint or powder coating is in service.
The cleaning of a coating is an important
part of the routine maintenance. It is for this reason that we
can undertake your maintenance on an annual contract basis, where
we can undertake, not only the cleaning, but also the repair to
the paint or powder coating that may be required because of mechanical
damage or premature breakdown.
