On-line Our on line system is used for larger batches and runs of small to medium sized items for
powder coating (maximum size 3.6m long x 1500high x 800 deep).

• Work is pre-inspected and jigged and masked where appropriate before pre-treatment.
• The four stage automatic pre-treatment system is monitored and adjusted automatically with
  manual checks twice daily. It uses the most modern multi metal pre-treatment materials
  and has tested 800 hours salt spray on mild steel and over 1000 hours on aluminium.

• The work passes through a dry-off oven and is then checked by our technicians to
  ensure the pre-treatment is sound, there is no trapped water, that the masking is intact and
  that the items are jigged in the optimum manner for finishing.
• In some cases items are primed prior to finishing for exterior applications or for more hazardous environments.
• Our fully trained sprayers work in pairs so that both sides of the work can be finished at the same time to apply the powder coating.
• They will finish the powder coating to a total nominal dry film thickness of 40 microns unless there is a need for a thicker coat.
• The powder coating is then cured as per the manufacturer's instructions at metal temperature for the recommended time.
• Inspection of the powder coated finish is to customer requirements and can include measurement of the thickness of the coating and measurement of the gloss level.
• The items are packed and labelled ready for delivery.
